Dear Friends, Guests, and Supporters:
Like you, we are closely following updates about community health concerns related to the novel caronavirus. Out of an abundance of caution, we have reevaluated our policies regarding the use of the conference room at Kiwanis Family House. Effective immediately and until further notice, Kiwanis Family House is cancelling all meetings and gatherings in its conference room. This action is taken to protect the health and safety of our staff and, importantly, our frail guest families and outpatients. When we are no longer concerned about the risk of coronavirus exposure, we will announce the reopening of our conference room to outside groups.
Additionally, we request that volunteers and others refrain from visiting the Kiwanis Family House if they are sick or suspect they may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus. We have taken several actions, including posting reminders about hand washing, distributing hand sanitizer in the kitchens and at all entrances, and increasing the frequency of disinfecting of surfaces in all public areas.
