3 ways to help KFH:

#1 Beautification Days

Beautification Days are critical contributions to the ongoing upkeep of KFH. They help us manage the wear and tear of nature. You might think that all this takes is dozens of volunteers just going at it but for the sake of efficiency and longevity a lot of care and planning goes into each Beautification Day.

Big Beautification Days (2/yr)

Big Beautification Days occur twice a year, once in the Fall and again in the Spring. They share the same goal but have different areas of focus. Our Fall Big Beautification Days focus on getting ready for winter while Spring is focused on recovering from winter and enduring long California summers. Here are a few tasks you can expect for each:

Manage leaves and weeds
Trim branches and hedges
Clear pathways
Erosion repair
Buy-A-Brick maintenance

Bi-Monthly Beautification Days (6/yr)

Bi-Monthly Beautification Days are a bit more detail oriented and focused on supporting KFH staff. During these events you can expect to:

Organize storage areas
Clean community areas such as kitchens and lobbies
Wash windows and walls
Weed abatement

Successful House Projects enrich the overall Guest Experience and can include:

Kitchen Usefulness
Food/Snack Pantry
Atrium and Plant Life
Library and Relaxation
Game Room/Arcade
Holiday Fun

#2 House Projects

House Projects are the nuts and bolts of Kiwanis Family House. They are the direct, real-life link between House Guests and Kiwanis Clubs.

Whether it’s Christmas activities or Pac-Man challenges, House Projects are the heartbeat of Kiwanis Family House.

#3 Donations

everyday items have a big impact on kiwanis family house

There are so many ways you can help out with these items. You can order them from Costco or Sam’s Club with your membership and have items shipped directly to KFH. OR you can go to our amazon wish list, choose an item, and have it shipped directly to us as well. Doing a donation drive for KFH and inviting us to pick up your collected items is also a fun way for us to come out and see you (we love this the most). However YOU choose to support our needs, is the BEST way to support our needs.
