For the third straight year, Kiwanis Family House will participate in the Sacramento region’s BIG Day of Giving (BIG DoG) event.
What is BIG DoG?
The BIG Day of Giving is a 24-hour event where the region comes together to support the nonprofit community by giving to those charitable organizations that they passionately support, like Kiwanis Family House. Any individual, club, or business may donate. All donations must be made via debit or credit card through the BIG Day of Giving website at (www.bigdayofgiving.org) during the 24-hour period.
The 2016 event is on Tuesday, May 3rd, and to make it extra-special this year, Kiwanis Family House is inviting area Kiwanis clubs to join in a BIG Interclub at the House on the BIG Day!
What is a BIG Interclub?
Glad you asked! At lunchtime and dinnertime on May 3rd, we’re inviting clubs to hold their weekly meeting at the Kiwanis Family House. We will serve tri-tip sandwiches, chips, and a drink, as well as fun, entertainment, and games. You’ll get a chance to showcase our House to your members and guests (feel free to invite friends and family), and we’ll be offering tours of our House throughout the day. And, for anyone who hasn’t made their BIG Day of Giving donation, we’ll have experts standing by to assist! Plus, we’ll be live tweeting and posting from the event–you and your club could be featured!
What’s Next?
Talk to your club and decide to join us for either lunch or dinner. Then, have one club representative contact Executive Director Dan Germain at dgermain@kiwanisfamilyhouse.org or 916-736-0116 to RSVP with the approximate number of members who will be attending, and whether you will join us for lunch or dinner. RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday, April 27th.
More information, including the names of the host clubs for both meals, will be coming soon. Keep an eye on Facebook and your email in the coming weeks!
