September 4, 2018 Sacramento, California – Dan Germain, Executive Director, announced today that Kiwanis Family House has released its first media-ready annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.  “In our 34-year history, we have evolved from a strictly volunteer-run organization to a professionally managed nonprofit.  Publishing an annual report is a natural step in that evolution”, said Mr. Germain.

With an annual budget of just $517,000, Kiwanis Family House served nearly 1,700 families last year.  Highlights of the report include a listing of the 27 states and three foreign countries in which our guest families resided, donors and foundations that provided major financial support, recent major facility improvements, and revenue and expenditure detail, including accomplishments on the 2018 Big Day of Giving.

Immediate Past Board President Guy Blair offered, “This report is a reflection of how far Kiwanis Family House has come since our humble beginnings in 1984.  Our financial viability has substantially improved over the years and we see great value in sharing this information with the individuals, Kiwanis clubs, and businesses that support us. That said, the report also illustrates the need to increase that support each year in order to maintain the facilities and the services we provide to our guest families”.
