Families we host
April 2, 2026
It has been a fascinating year for KFH when we think about the families we have been able to host. From Redding to Mexico, and many places far away. We spent time with Luis, who after months at KFH getting treatment at the Shriner’s Pediatric Burn Unit, spent a FULL DAY raking leaves out front as his way of saying thank you to us for our hospitality. We have spent over a year with a guest from Palestine, Ahmed, who was born without legs and came to Shriner’s for support. We were able to witness his early first steps on his brand-new legs here in this building. And we watched Jorge create a work of art all while he was visiting family in the hospital.
We are continuing to build community with our guests and kindly ask for your support to continue our great work. Our guests depend on us, and we depend on you, Making KFH a part of your giving ensures we can see Ahmed, Luis, and Jorge thrive while navigating their toughest days.
Big Beautification Day
April 3, 2026
What a great Big Beautification Day we had at KFH! Members from Carmichael, Greater Sacramento, Sacramento Suburban, Lincoln Foothills, Stockton, Orangevale-Fair Oaks and Placerville all showed up to fill a 40-yard dumpster with green waste! Many trees were trimmed, bushes cut back, leaves rakes and weed pulled. And after all of that, we still filled another 20-yard dumpster with green waste! A huge THANK YOU to Republic Waste Services for donating both dumpsters to KFH for the weekend.
We have beautification days every other month here at KFH. Information will generally be posted to our social media, but you can also get it from your club liaison! And if you haven’t joined our monthly club liaison zoom, it happens on the second Monday of every month at 10:30am and it’s only 15 minutes! To join the email list for zoom reminders, send a message to Paula (Pkelley@kiwanisfamilyhouse.org) with the subject line: CLUB LIAISON ZOOM and I will add you to the list!
